Staffing Solutions for Your Allied Health Practice

Friday 27 July 2018, Canberra

It doesn’t matter if you are a sole practitioner or already have a team gathering around you, this workshop is a must if you are feeling overwhelmed at your current workload, scared to put someone on, or simply don’t know where to find people or how to get them started. You are in the right place.

At Maida Learning we know what it is like to get busy and just run on your ‘practitioner’ engine – which means that often you don’t have the time to work ‘on’ the business. One of the best ways you can get ahead is to get the right team around you.

Been here?

  • Have you ever felt so busy you can’t do everything yourself, but you are too scared to go down the path of employing someone to help you?
  • What if you don’t have enough work for them to do?
  • What if you can’t afford them?
  • What if it just makes more work for you having to train them and teach them what to do?
  • What if they are the wrong person and it was all a waste of time and money?

Maybe you tried in the past and it didn’t quite work out as you had hoped. Maybe you already have a team and get the feeling they are not overly happy. Maybe you have put someone on and you feel regret! If you are busy, we know it is hard to find the time to first of all work out what help you need and secondly to know how to get it.

How to review your current situation and decide when and where you need staff.

Our speaker

Amy is an occupational therapist and an entrepreneur in health care. She has created three clinical practices and has experience in private practice since 2006. Amy is passionate about lifelong learning and created Maida Learning to help other people who also wanted to create amazing practices. Amy graduated from her MBA this year and has been awarded Business Leader of the Year in 2015 in NSW Murray and Riverina area.

"I put my first staff member on after I had been in practice for two years, and wondered why I hadn't taken this step earlier! There are certainly things about running a dynamic team that are really rewarding, and things that are challenging. I want other practice owners to learn the easier ways to have a team and ensure they have the right people around them like I do".
